Please tell our readers more about your one man band - SYPHILIC. ( its style / discography / etc.)
„I write it all drunk, so its pretty spastic. Also like to think it has its own sound. I don't concentrate so much on the technicality on the guitar as much as the odd timings for the music that I can come up with. I've just released a third album, and am working on a 4th. Productivity won't stop now that I have a recording rhythm. After the 4th, i have enough material for 2-3 more full lengths even if I don't write anything now.”
 
Let us talk about your music style, claimed on your myspace page, "drunk death metal", ellaborate on that please, and maybe on your favourite drinks.
„Well, I write it all drunk. Some songs end when I can't see the computer anymore. But I usually write them in one sitting.  Ill drink anything alcoholic just about but my go-to drink is a cheap $6 750mL of Five O'Clock Vodka.”
 
You have a CRYPTOPSY tattoo on your neck, what are your other likes in metal? What got you inspired to start playing death metal?
„Well CRYPTOPSY sucks now, should have forseen that coming if I got the tattoo of it. It's my fault they suck now because I got the tattoo. Most death metal bores me. As long as its original, DEFEATED SANITY, GUTTURAL SECRETE, BLASPHEMER, ENVENOMATION... But I also like shit like CEMETERY RAPIST and SIKFUK, INHUMAN D, INTESTINAL ALIEN REFLUX... Nothing really inspired me to start playing. I've never been inspired to play death metal, it just kind of happens. I had 16 SYPHILIC songs written before I decided to record any of it.”
 
When i listened to your stuff, i did not get that sterile drum feeling, how do you use your drum machine, is there a special technique behind that? How do you write your music?
„I try not to repeat anything and just keep it creative. I also write on a PC and not an actual drum machine. But I spend countless hours making the drums sound real and I can get way into that but... well yea.”
 So, you have a new album recorded, tell us everything about it. (not quite everything, just what you think is worth mentioning)
„It's OK.”
 
You claim your influences to be DREAM THEATER, PINK FLOYD and serial killers. There are subtle traces of intricate / math / complex stuff, in your releases, however, apart from the gross humour. What do you currently listen to? What do you like of the new stuff, be it goregrind, progressive death or whatever?
„Bands listed above. I've been listening to some classical. But 75% of what I do listen to isnt death metal, or even metal.”
 
Your project is quite good, why don't you have a label? (not that that the DIY stuff sucks)
„I already do all the work, Id rather pay for the press and keep all my CDs. Labels are BUSINESS, who do you think they profit on?”
 
Have you ever thought of gathering a bunch of (drunk) musicians and touring with SYPHILIC? (if yes/no, give some insight)
„I dont care much to do shows, but if i did tour, it would have to be with some people that drink. Otherwise I'd be kicked off on the first few dates for pissing on an ATM or something.”
 
What do you do, besides music?
„I collect METALLICA shit, train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. Did soccer for a while. Drink excessively sometimes. Thats about it.”
